ARGH! That's SO miserable. Don't use ice. I just read a science article about how ice actually reduces the ability of the muscles to heal. Use heat.
I also use magnesium gel because it really helps sore muscles. It stinks, but it's great stuff. (Don't get the oil, it stains your clothes. The gel doesn't!)
