I use to think that way until I realized why was I doing that to myself and taking them early sometimes helped lessen the severity later in the day.

I go straight off to painkillers. I used to have episodes where I'd be writhing on the floor, about ready to pass out, so I don't screw around. (Alas, I can no longer take ibuprofin/NSAIDS, so I have to make do with acetominaphen. Thankfully, the really horrendous days seem to be behind me.)
