Oh, that's frustrating. I hate waking up groggy, and fortunately the meds I take at night, though they make me drowsy enough to go to sleep, do not leave me groggy in the morning.
I take an anti-anxiety med that will make me very drowsy. Great stuff, because it keeps me from waking up with panic attacks at 3 am. (I used to call it the 3 am Heebie Jeebies.) My doc suggested a small dosage (I take either 1/4 or 1/2 a 2 mg tablet), and it worked like a fucking charm.
Sometimes there really is better living through chemistry.
