Feeling a bit blank today, cold and tired as winter starts to set in. The house is chilly and draughty - Australian homes aren't made to keep warm, and so winter has traditionally involved a lot of heating, most of it being lost through gaps in the window and door frames, and presently in the gap between the floorboards and the sideboards, which were installed for when there was carpet.

I've been trying to make sourdough things, but my sourdough starter isn't really co-operating: I might have been feeding it too much. Or feeding it the wrong flour. IDK.

I made chicken tortilla soup; it was pretty amazing fresh out of the pot yesterday. Still good today. Froze a chunk of it for later eating, but should get at least two more meals from what I haven't put away.

I am not actually here today, just present. Oh and the period has begun. Which is probably why.
