au_bigbang deadline rolled around; 2/3 of the way through the story, and the ending had about another 6K to the finish which I figured I could get done before the claims went up on the 5th, and got permission from the AU BB mods to hand it in by the 5th.
And then the plotbunny went Godzilla on me. It ate several other hapless plotbunnies along the way so it's now a mega-sized plotbunny intent on chowing down on anything that gets in its way, along with a large portion of my brain clover.
I'm at 13.5K now, which means I can hit the 15K count by Monday easy. But there is just no way that I'm going to finish this story with the Godzilla plotbunny in time for the AU Big Bang claims.
I might finish it for theatlantisbigbang? Possibly. There are things that I need to explore and develop and elaborate upon in the text but...maybe?
