It seemed slightly surreal yesterday, sitting out on the balcony on a warm spring-summer day in Sydney, reading the tweets and news from people in the path of a hurricane. And perhaps a little voyeuristic.

I have to post a 36K fic on Monday. In 13 parts on AO3, because at least four sections will have their own art, and because the natural progression of the fic is 13 parts in 13 different POVs. (Man, I hope I've made the voices distinct enough. *gnaws nails*)

LJ is more tricky. Partly because I don't want to flood my f-list, partly because I could do 13 parts here, too, or I could divide it into four parts: Nick, Natasha, Clint (with the Clint/Natasha graphic), Phil; Jane, Rhodey, Tony, Pepper (with the Tony&Maria graphic); Thor, Bruce, Darcy, Steve (with the Steve/Maria graphic); Maria (with the Maria graphic).

Or, I post all 13 parts individually (with the graphic in the appropriate chapter) but backdate them so they don't clog up the f-list, and post a 'masterpost' for the story, with links to all the chapters and using the Maria graphic (or a modified version) as the visual header.

I wasn't going to make it overtly Steve/Maria, but after looking at the drawing neptune47 has done, I'm thinking I might put at least one line in there. And because there really aren't any Steve/Maria fics out there: nobody seems to be writing them (at least, my searches on AO3 keep turning up the same storie), and if they are turning up there or elsewhere, nobody's reccing them. *sigh*

Who knows if I'll get around to the sequel. I'm only just getting around to writing the sequel to Give A Girl A Moment now.

Got the first three sections outlined, need to decide if I'm going to start slow and ramp up, or just plunge in and let it roll.
