perhaps not the weirdest statement in the world, but still pretty weird

I love my dad and my stepmum, but damn they're helpful.

Also: I have discovered that I come by my show geekiness honestly. My father is watching Supergirl and is really into it! Has no problem a) keeping track of who is who, b) explaining to his daughter what is going on, c) accepting that his daughter knows as much about the general DC universe, if not more, d) getting really involved in the show, to the point of putting off going out to dinner.

He was watching episode...1.08? Or thereabouts? It looked a bit fluffy, but kind of fun.

Still pretty tired, and thinking I might get a wash and go to bed and skip the travelogue until tomorrow...

SelDoesTheWorld2016: Day 2

So, the food monitoring has kind of gone out the window. My stepmother is terribly eager to feed me, and while I can say no, there's a point after which it's basically kicking the dog.

So. Bún mắm for breakfast. A kind of dirty rice/yum cha mix for lunch, and 'congee' for dinner. Not in the Chinese style that I'm accustomed to, though. That's okay - it was interesting.

Also here: THE BEST MOCHI I HAVE EVER EATEN, HANDS DOWN.

If I can go back at some point, I am going to get a box of these, freeze them, and take them to Paris. They are that amazing...
