Did a zoom meeting with fannish friends this Monday morning. Haven't seen them in the flesh since 2016 - last time I visited the US (most of them are US, one is Canada).
It was fun. Mostly COVID-19 talk, although there was a conversation about unemployment differences between the US and Australia which was educational.
Otherwise, Monday morning has felt fragmented. I still haven't been paid Jobseeker money, although it appears that I had two 'outstanding tasks' to perform - one which was 'putting in my job requirements for April' and I have to call them to adjust that. The other was uploading secondary documentation (a utility bill) which I did.
I sewed a few bits of a quilt together, going to finish that TODAY (yes, yes, I am). I also did some handsewing while on the Zoom meeting. Because that's what you do in a Zoom meeting, right?
I'm also going to sharpen my pruning tools, because I'm going to need them to deal with my fruit trees which have gotten entirely too high to deal with in the coming year. 3m will have to be it, and I need to work out how to prune the main branches down. But to prune the big branches, I need to clean and sharpen the rusty old loppers. It's gonna be messy.
Also gotta work out meal things for the next few hours. Sort through the pile of paperwork next to my desk. Clean up my study. Change over my winter/summer clothing...
Oh, and somewhere in there, I have a loaf of bread to bake...
UGH. And now I have a desire to do none of it.
One thing at a time. Pruning tools first.
