When my permie group communications officer is enthused about my writing, I tend to immediately try to discount her praise.
Also, I think permaculture and me are going to need to have a conversation about privilege.
Namely, the kind of privilege that says things like "well, if everyone grew stuff in their own garden, then they wouldn't be risking food shortages" and posts things like "medications aren't health, good, nutrient-rich food is health".
I bet you can guess the profiles of the people spouting this garbage.

It's worth remembering that women don't get the narrative "you'll all be sorry" without it being a teenaged jealousy thing. When they do, it's Heathers which is legendary in part because it's the Ur-example. The alternative is more along the lines of Why Women Kill - which again, turns to murder rather than merely accepting the repentance of those who wronged her.

Sometimes I feel like a freaking unicorn online, particularly in US-centric spaces around culture and religion. I don't know if this is my religious upbringing, my cultural upbringing, or just me and this perfect storm of a situation where I'm sitting in the eye of it, unaffected by these crises of faith or feminism or sexuality or gender behaviour...

So extremely tired this afternoon. And damn, I gotta clear out the car of the things I picked up off a friend on Saturday after helping her move some. And then I'm going to pick up some more things that she's trying to get rid of.
Slow day, rather long-ish night.
