Looks like the winners of the fic options poll were In The Game and Widow's Pique.

Now, the only barrier to me writing them are the SGA Santa (the plot finally arrived - thank you, Alli), the Sheppard H/C Santa (got plot, waiting for muse), and two profics, neither of which I've yet started.

And that small thing called 'the muse' which is stalling me every time I try to get John and Teyla out of the parking lot of the local mall, and whenever Teyla and her escort step off the Landing Web into Atlantis court.

I suspect I drained my muse dry with NaNo - I've felt little to no interest in writing lately - profic or fanfic. Most of August and September were characterised like this, too - partly because of the lack of anything to work with in fannish terms, partly because I was word-exhausted from the SGA Big Bang.

Profic is mostly the need to have a deadline. The fannish stuff is coming back slowly, but I still feel like I'm empty of the words I want to write - good words, meaningful words, a story that will capture hearts and minds and which isn't just words on paper.

::bounces:: Oooh ooooh oooh, are you writing more Black Jewels AU? I hope you are, because I've become a big fan of the books since I read your AU. (Yes, I bought them because I enjoyed your story and I wanted to know more about the world...)

Hey, where did my other Teyla icon go? I don't remember deleting it, but it seems I must have. Hmmph.

I am hoping to top 300,000 on my ff.net profile before New Year's. I've got about 10,000 words in the bag (ish...I need one more action scene, and then all the loose ends to be tied up), and then about 8,000 to go after that. My project for January is to start the SG-1 Big Bang.

I mention this because I will be totally up for a little mutual cheerleading/prodding with ficsticks. I want you to write both of those stories, so I have no trouble at all standing on the sidelines with a big sign or something. :)

I get having a disinterested muse...mine is so worn out from teaching English and living in Korea, it's gone on what I fear is a permanent vacation.

That story and the one by [livejournal.com profile] miera_c are totally the reasons I bought the books too!

I'm really looking forward to "In the Game" being finished. Take your time, take a breather, and don't sweat it though. :) *hugs*
