Interesting. I thought they blocked off DW, along with LJ and Facebook.

Apparently I have access right now. Which I have absolutely no objection to having!

Anyway, I've 17575 words to the [livejournal.com profile] au_bigbang challenge, right now, it's mostly a question of finishing - which I'll have to do during lunch today, because I have hockey tonight and the possibility of gym class. There are still a few gaps where scenes need to be filled out, but otherwise, it should be done on time.

Whether it makes sense? Another matter entirely. Going to be a lot of rewriting/filling in/cutting down in the editing process. Cross-referencing and everything...

Am looking into reading podfics - have a list of 13 stories-so-far I'd like to podfic, about half of them mine. The thing is, the stories that I love and want to podfic by other people are ones that are extremely popular/famous in their fandom - as in, pages of comments/hundreds of reviews. As an example, "Measured Out In Coffee Spoons" by David Hines. But then you have to get permission and there's always the worry that they won't like it - esp. since, you know, Australian accent for characters that are set in the US and for which the primary audience is American...

I wouldn't bother trying accents; since I hate having "Australian" accents inflicted upon me, it would be hypocritical to inflict my version of other people's accents upon them.

And then there's editing and music and background and...all this stuff that I don't (yet) know about.

But, you know, new things to try, new skills to learn.

Belated reply: I wouldn't mind if you podficced "Measured Out in Coffee-Spoons." Thanks for the compliment.
