Preferably the co-worker who wanted something done so she could test it today, provided no direction or assistance or help, and when I finally found the solution said "oh yes, that's it."

It is now 5:30pm, and she has just informed me that my code is in the wrong application area.

This is the part where, if you want someone to do something which they have already admitted they don't know how to do, detailed instructions are helpful.

NOT. HAPPY. JAN.
