I'm cutting down the friends list to at least half, maybe a third, just to keep things manageable. Life is being crappy right now and I don't need fandom compounding it. So, smaller f-list. As a general rule, I'm pretty shocking when it comes to keeping up with LJ anyway. (Sorry to the people who I haven't been keeping up with, it's been pretty tiring of late.)

You're welcome to keep me friended so you can keep up with my posts, or unfriend me in reciprocity or pique. Either way, it was a pleasure knowing you.

Eh. I feel silly explaining why I'm unfriending, but I'd probably feel worse about not letting people know. I just can't keep up with y'all.

Good. Hopefully it'll be a bit of a pick-tie-up.

The last couple weeks have put me in this awkward depression -- the kind I wouldn't typically talk about online. Last Thursday: car wreck (no serious injuries fortunately, but still a massive stress) and this Thursday (ie yesterday): I find out that one of my best friends has cancer -- an aggressive, invasive kind. I know life has its ups and downs but there are moments when I really want a big Fast Forward button, you know?

Ok, I promise I didn't set out to unload here -- I just got off the phone with my friend and its sort of spilling over, occupying my every second thought.

I know whatever you're going through is unique to your own life but I really hope your "ups" come soon. :D

I was very excited about it and really looking forward to it, as Adele admitted that she was trying to get him to come over way back in July....

However, it turns out that I'm going to see David Hewlett in London the week before and I'll be in Europe the whole time! I was very sad about it actually...

I can hook you up with my friends who are going to BOBW - they will be there next Saturday too!
