I rather enjoy watching the lead-up to a US presidential election. This is almost certainly because I don't have to put up with the results (not in the personal, this-is-going-to-affect-me sense), so it's like going to the circus: all the fun, without having to shovel the shit left behind. (I'm not nearly so pleased watching Australian politics.)

I haven't been reading any of my feeds; I seem to go through cycles of reading and not-reading, and right now I'm not-reading. Sorry for the silence if life things have been happening and I haven't commented or encouraged.

I'm pretty much going to be GO for the next three days until Sunday night, when I take a deep breath, go to bed...and start the week again. I am and am not looking forward to it - the next two days are a quilting retreat in the Blue Mountains, and I'm doing a lot of classes, which could get really tiring.

Sunday is the first hockey game (goalie at 9am, field at 10:30am) but it's C-grade, which is two grades down from last year. I might even manage to keep my head above water! However, the personality dynamics of my team are going to be, for want of a better word, interesting. (Yes, the Hoburn Wash version of the word.)

Writing is happening, but not as fast as I want. (Never as fast as I want.)
