I enjoy the Christmas season. I'm not so fond of all the trappings (gift-giving is a PITA) but overall, the family, food, and festive feeling all hit me in a happy spot.
Tis the season for fresh fruit, and I have a mango, and homegrown blueberries and raspberries for my day's snacks.
I took my Boozy Doozy along to the Permaculture group meeting last night, and it was very well taken. (And then I left the jar behind, so either someone took it home, or it's still sitting in the fridge at the community centre...)
I'm meeting with a friend this afternoon (dammit, I don't have a gift for her, BUGGER, this is one thing I dislike about Christmas). I'm meeting with more friends tomorrow evening. I'm meeting with another friend on Friday. And I'm trying to work out what to do on New Year's Eve - too many options, and while I am quite tempted by 'stay home and dig in', I like socialising with people, so long as there's an option for 'sit and chat', not just 'dance, party, and drink'.
My chooks are both into regular laying - we've had an egg each for the last couple of days, and they're on the small size for commercial, but otherwise nicely sized and shaped.
There's a new chapter to 'Enemies Foreign And Domestic', the MCU 'no powers' AU where Steve is the President of the USA. There was another new chapter less than a week ago! It's practically an embarrassment of riches in my corner of the fandom.
