Let's go forth and change the horror that our world has become - all our countries, not just the USA.
I spent the night at the party of a friend from church - starting 'late' (like 8pm) after the church combined our 5pm and 7pm evening services into a 6pm service (and then offered a party space for the church youth until midnight; I hear it was pretty fun, with a live band and plenty of food; no alcohol, but they're mostly underage anyway, even in Australia).
I ate a lot of good food, chatted with friends, watched karaoke and cheered people on, watched the fireworks on TV, sang karaoke of assorted types and kinds, and got to bed around 2am.
And then the chickens woke me up at 5:30am. UGH.
This calls for an automatic door for the coop. I'll just have to modify the coop a little to accomodate it.
Speaking of the chooks, Hainan was in a filthy mood this morning. She's escaped the pen about three times in the last couple of days, so we'd blocked off all the spaces we thought she might be getting out through, and she was PISSED OFF to find that we'd done so. If a chicken was a toddler, she'd have been throwing a screaming tantrum in the middle of the shopping centre.
I'll have a nap later, if my sisters don't drag me off to the beach, because it's going to get pretty hot...
