I managed 375K words in [community profile] getyourwordsout this year; short of my goal of 500K by a good 125K. Not sure I could have done those extra words; I've been feeling strapped for ideas and inspiration.

For 2018, I've dropped back to 350K, but have made a goal of at least 75K going to original fiction, and have joined [community profile] inkingitout to progress that. I'm still trying to determine a genre; chances are, it'll be urban/space fantasy, with a romantic subplot because that's pretty much my genre.

I posted to 50 fics at AO3 this year (some of them are entirely new, some I started this year, some of them I started in previous years), from 20K words (downright complicated [MCU, Steve/Maria/Natasha/Bucky, sedoretu]) to zero (it was cover art for a big bang: Gods & Monsters(COVERART) [MCU, Clint, Clint/Coulson]).

Most kudos'd was wade into the water, learn to live again [Rogue One: Cassian/Jyn], although a very close second was oh there's a show alright, but it may not be the one you want [MCU, Bucky/Sam] which was unexpectedly popular (and started in 2016).

Once again, I wrote mostly in MCU, although there were at least 5 Rogue One fics, a couple of Stargate Atlantis, a couple of Harry Potter, and an assortment of randoms, including Narnia, Discworld, Zootopia, DCCU, and Dragonriders of Pern...

My YT fics are doing pretty well - one better than the other. They're in the same fandom for two different people, which is also a fandom I've written in before although not for YT. The really enjoyable thing is how multiple people have mentioned a certain ambiguity I echoed from the original canon. That was very much the idea - to leave that question up in the air, which is half the charm of the canon in the first place (the other being the very distinct characters).

Haha, I did that too, altho it wasn't in a fandom I've written in before. For a while one was doing a lot better than the other altho now they're both kind of tanking. (Altho it's hard to figure out what to measure by. YT fics overall? ((LOL)) Fics in the fandom? Fics in the general category?....)
