Saw Black Panther on Friday night. Excellent movie, it's up there in my top picks of the MCU entourage. Might go see it again at the local non-chain cinemas.

Wrote a little.



Spent all of Sunday on the edible garden trail that was on this weekend up in the Blue Mountains (about an hour's drive away). That picture? Was the last garden the group I went with saw (before we went to see the site being created by a member of the gardening group), and she had politicians' faces cut out from their electioneering boards and stuck on the scarecrows! The Potato Brother scarecrow was particularly terrifying.

Did a little gardening between when I got home and sunset.

Monday morning, I'm back in the office and mildly exhausted. That was a pretty big weekend.

I liked that Black Panther was both enjoyable in a see-it-more-times way AND thinky.

Yeah, it covered all the bases with less of the 'frustrating stupid premise' aspect that bugged me about CW.

(My joke coming out of the theatre was "the only thing that would have made it better for me was to have Maria Hill in the Everett Ross role".)

Yeah, he was the only weak point in the movie as it happened. (My fantasy rendition of Black Panther would have kept the central f/f romance in the Coates comics.)

Once they got back to Wakanda, I was disappointed that Everett got so much screen time--he was by far the least interesting character.

Well, they needed to give the white guys a reason to be invested in the story...

Go you! I'm in awe. I made one quilt in my entire life and stopped. I also slept under it until it literally fell to pieces, so at least I got a good return on investment. :D
