Honestly, I still think it's one of the better countries - maybe New Zealand outdoes us, because they have the same social democracy, but they also actually have heart.

But honestly? We're going down, the way of the USA, and we're going down hard.

They're gutting all the things that kept us out of the GFC! Cutting all the social help programs, and public services, including urban public transport.

It's a nightmare under the conservatives, and the 'centrist' party wouldn't do any better, while our left-wing party has a lot of ideology and not much practical solutions (they've never had to have practical solutions, they've always been a minor party).

We're about to elect a Conservative premiere for Ontario and I don't like our chances federally in the fall either, and...yeah.
