I'm feeling this movie a lot like CW. It's fine in the theatre and in the post-movie state, but then you think about it more and everything falls down. They missed all the signposts that had really good, new possibilities in exchange for going back to Original Flavour Team and...*sigh*
My biggest miff about Maria is mostly that they've missed so many chances to bring her in as a side hero-character, the way they did Nakia, Shuri, and Okoye (and Ramonda) in BP. All her extra scenes? Cut. All the possibilities of her story? Denied. And granted I'm speaking as a Maria fan, but I've been hoping for the last five years to get something more than scraps and...well, I'm pretty bitter about this.
