Remember the days in ye aulde fandom when someone would just stop talking to you and you never worked out why?
Ghosting, before it became common.

Just put in my expense requests for the start of May.

Hockey training has been cancelled because we don't have a coach, and we don't have a game on Sunday (long weekend in Australia: the King's birthday). I'm trying to get people over to the local club for dinner and drinks but...it's always a bit tricksy. Just me and a couple of other women, I think.

Or as I like to call it....last month! Lolsob
Then again a whole ton of socializing still seems to take place on Facebook and I will never ever do Facebook and I see people on like Instagram and Tumblr and even AO3 who seem quite happy to communicate only via likes etc....so idk. I think a lot of talking is also happening in discord and text chains which I don't really do either. I am a turtle crossing the information superhighway.
Tl;dr Maybe "It's Not Us It's Zuck"?

And yes, a fair bit of social stuff seems to happen on FB and Threads (for me). Bluesky just doesn't work for my style of thinking and communicating. And I prefer conversation to 'likes' which feels too easy and meaningless. Which, I guess, is what Da Yoof want these days, so...
That said, Threads is starting to use ads, so that'll soon go the way of FB I reckon.
It's all a shitshow, frankly.
