My 'works in collections' page looks nothing like what I expect it to. What the hell does "Best Match" mean when it comes down to it anyway?

Someone has just updated the date on a fic that was posted in 2015. I know this because I read the fic and then realised I'd already kudosed it, and the two comments on the fic are dated from back then, but it's only one chapter long. I'm willing to accept that AO3 may be playing silly buggers with dates, though.

A story I was reading was doing reasonably well through a number of chapters...until the "badass" heroine turned into the stereotype of a romance novel damsel and the author took away her agency - so far as I can tell, solely to ramp up the angst. How much do I hate this? LET ME COUNT THE WAYS.

It seems quite a lot of people like my Bucky/Shuri Wakandan Empire AU and the worldbuilding I packed into it.
--
Finally, while flicking through the Steve/Maria pairing tag, I found my last fic for it and was more than a little shocked since it's acquired a shit-ton of kudos since posting and it's not even 350 words long.

(My current ire is directed at this audiobook which has random transphobia in it. Kind souls could give it a pass, barely, because the passerby is a New Orleans drag queen, but since the author doesn't make clear that the queen identifies as a man, it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.)

One of the extremely rare longfics posted for this pairing and it turns out to be crappy and character-assassinating.
