At some point in the last few days, I acquired a sore throat. That wonderful feeling of broken glass coating the back of your throat? Yes, that one. The sore throat also comes with bonus cold (well, mostly a runny nose). There are gross-but-interesting things of the 'bodily fluids situation' that I'd like to share with you, but they're gross, so I won't.
Apart from yesterday (which I mostly spent flat on my back in bed, reading books because UGH), I've been doing about 2K a day in writing - quite a bit on a MS for publishing, and a little on the other side of infinity which...is just not coming along. I keep getting bogged down in details, and my skeptic side says "but you need to include this or people won't understand!" If it's not done before Captain Marvel comes out, then it's just going to become another dead story which is...not unusual for me. I just...I really wanted to write this story.
I've written a few shorter things in the last two months, though. I'll put them in a separate post.
Otherwise, I'm presently job hunting. If the job hunting doesn't go so well, then it'll be the fiction publishing. Of course, I need to finish a bloody MS to publish anything.
We are now in money shutdown mode where all expenditure has to be considered. It's actually a lot more difficult now than it was 6 or even 10 years ago, partly because now money also goes into the house and garden, not just into personal living and entertainment things.
