Seeing as I'm not actually managing to write novels (but everyone else around me seems to be completing them at crazy rates), toss me characters/pairing, a genre, and maybe an idea, and I'll write you the blurb for a novel about them.

Yes, I am still doing the character/question meme but Moana and Ziva are being obstreperous in a teenaged and exasperated pop culture immigrant way respectively. It's...entertaining, but high-energy to moderate.

If it's any consolation, I haven't been finishing any novels either, despite much effort in that direction. Congrats on everything you are getting done.

Dion is a revolution in scientific advancement - an artificial intelligence set in the body of a spaceship, capable of inhuman thought and calculation in the deep emptiness of space. Now, the designers of his ship have created an android body for him - a humanlike avatar for his consciousness to inhabit.

It's an exhilarating freedom for a being that's never been smaller than a very large house - and peculiar, too. He's s now dealing with people who think that he's human, that he feels pain or hurts or aches as they do, that he shares their limited perspective on life and the universe and superstring transport theories.

It means he's learning very fast that humans are strange.

Catherine is a decorated war hero back from fighting pirates out in the dark spaces of the galaxy. She's sick and tired of firing solutions, strategy, and cleaning up the mess of what's left after a pirate raid, and isn't going to stand the fuss that's being made over her in civil space, so she's hired herself a ship and is sneaking off to one of the holiday planets for a couple of months of R&R.

She didn't read the fine print when she hired the ship, so the steward that comes with the ship is an unexpected surprise. At least he can hold a conversation about everything from darkspace politics to the psychology of the latest batch of screenshows. But Catherine's learned to recognise when a man's keeping secrets from her, and while she's not going to pry, she's not above wondering...and putting the pieces together.

Oooooh! I like it and would totally read that novel. I love that he puts them in terms of life, the universe, and superstring transport theories! And non-prying sleuthing of what's hidden in the fine print. Veeery nice. :D

Oh, this sounds like it could be rather fun! I might steal this idea because I can probably write 100 words..... ;)

Tossing a couple ideas out in case one doesn't work for you.

- Rogue One team (any characters) as superheroes (ie. not in space), found family
- Female detective (Olivia Dunham, Ziva, OFC, etc) who works on a space station

Hell hath no fury like a husband scorned as Patricia Senison finds out when she discovers her bitter ex-husband pulled strings to influence her next assignment. Mere light years away from the Maristi border, Miriam Station may not be Mos Eisley, but it's on the edge of Terran space, and is home to a conglomeration of organisations, both private and government. In this busy and often volatile space station and its inhabitants, Senison has just been assigned as the new Security Head of Miriam Space Station.

As the last Terran Space Station before Maristi territory, Miriam is a major station to not only the Terran Mil and the RimRunners but also Mil Operations - the 'spy arm' of the Terran Mil, and the Wolf's Cry corporate trading company, who have exclusive trading rights with the Maristi - when they can get them. With space pirates hiding out in the asteroid belt, occasional skirmishes against renegade Maristi inflights, on-station fights between the Mil and the RimRunners, and the endless politics - stationary and interplanetary - there's more than enough to keep Senison and her team occupied and busy - and that's not even counting the attentions of Scott. S. Lupin, black sheep of the Lupin family, who's made it his personal mission to annoyg Senison – for reasons of his own.
