I signed up for smutswap last night but I'm rethinking. I'm not so into exchange anymore, and nobody wants to write the pairings I ask for (maybe one person, possibly two) so there's no point. I have no trouble writing stuff myself without a deadline (although the deadline helps) so I don't get anything out of it from that angle.

It feels a bit like the end of an era, though.

I'm way too into exchanges but trying to sit out as many as possible this year.

I have pendings for two other exchanges, so it was easy for me to opt to sit on the pinch hits for others currently signing up.

I washed out of too many exchanges so for now I'm sticking to treating and maybe pinch-hitting (altho then I never get anything done by the deadline).

It's not as if stopping doing exchanges has to be a permanent thing if you don't want it to be.
