I offered to assist in the NSW State Election next weekend before I realised I had the job.
So, it's going to be a long week and a busy weekend to boot. *sigh*
I'm reading the training manuals for Election Officers (let's be honest, I'm the lowest of the low on this rung) and they've got a whole section devoted to 'Providing Services to Electors with Additional Needs' which includes indigenous electors, electors with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse electors.
Wow.

Now...I have an all-day desk job that makes me antsy, and that's just going for 8 hours, not even the full 12 of an election day.
I just want to collapse in advance...
