I've had limited internet and haven't been keeping up with fandom (or even the f-list - sorry, peeps!) so I don't know if this idea has come and gone.

My preference would have been for an AU Carson to come through from an Atlantis that's fallen to the Goa'uld (okay, and for him to have been in a relationship with Teyla) but apparently that's not going to happen.

I'm sure someone's already suggested it, and Mallozzi's probably shot it down, but...RepliCarson?

Yes, it's imitating SG-1, but lately, SGA has had a few plot resonances to SG-1 lately (OTOH: Inferno = Fail Safe, Irresistable = Hathor, Progeny = Unnatural Selection). Ideally, RepliCarson would be a character study (which is why they wouldn't take it in that direction) - with the replicator version hung between good and evil since Carson really isn't the 'world domination' kind of person...then again, neither was Carter. But RepliCarson as evil and screwing around with the minds of the SGA team? Highly entertaining.

I doubt they would - like I'm beginning to doubt that anything really good is going to come out of S4 for Teyla, but it could be interesting if they did.

I am hoping for AU, myself. I really like the early SG-1 AUs (not so much "The Road Not Taken") and we might even get Sumner thrown in as a bonus (if Robert Patrick isn't too expensive).

Yeah, that and his lack of presence in the Montage a Departure.

For the most part, I don't care about expensive guest stars. Sometimes they are quite awesome and sometimes they are really, really bad. My favourite guests on SG-1 were always the Generals who played themselves, because I thought that was funny. I'd never heard of Robert Davi and I wish I'd never heard of Richard Kind, but I did like Robert Patrick. I much prefer watching the "little" actors crop up, the ones that are in everything from Andromeda to the X-Files.

Lucious (*seethes*) in SGA and one of the scientists in Stargate: The Movie.

I don't know anything about Carson, since TPTB are keeping that underwraps. I really hope they don't do RepliCarson. :P

Although, I read the other day on JM's blog (since I'm a spoiler hog) that Teyla was going to get some technobabble scenes in S4. Or, in JM's words, she'll be able to display her "newfound knowledge."

Also, there's going to be something "interesting" revealed about Lorne's childhood and "the Shep whump to beat all Shep whump" in Doppelganger, which sounds like the best episode of the season. If that makes you feel better.

Unless, of course, you completely flunk all your subjects and have to take the year again.

Considering I pretty much gave up in all my courses except the really important ones at the beginning of May, I probably didn't pass with flying colors. =P

But it is awesome!!!!1!!11

I'm currently at Girls State, the week-long "Let's learn about American politics and patriotism!" seminar for high school girls, as a counselor, so I might not be able to respond right away. But I will need something to do later in the week. :)
