Watching S.W.A.T is so...weird and flashbacky.
Samuel L Jackson, sure. But Jeremy Renner, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, etc...
Also, pagers, colour printers, manually executed computer searches (instead of automatic facial recognition), and even the 'recording' stuff is so very grainy compared with even our phone cameras.
Watching that and being caught watching it by B2 prompted a rather hilarious 'blast to the past' where we looked up Renner as the vampire Penn in Angel (with a much younger David Boreanaz), and then skipped across to Michael Weatherly as Logan in Dark Angel compared with him now in Bull, which then turned towards Jensen Ackles in Dark Angel vs him now in Supernatural...
Ah, memory lane.

It's astounding how much people change, and you don't realize that time has passed as quickly as it has.
People I adored in my teens are now in the 70s!

I first saw Renner when I was watching Angel, and then again when I saw S.W.A.T a few years later. I unironically enjoyed it in both, and even when he turned up in Thor, I was all "hey, isn't that the S.W.A.T vampire guy?" At which point most people were all "huh?"
It's kind of funny to realise just how BIG things like the Avengers movies have made otherwise obscure actors. Renner, Ruffalo, Hemsworth - even Evans were B to C list actors...and in the last ten years, they've jumped something crazy.
