I am one part amused, one part horrified by the Amazon Prime 'superheroes are assholes' production "The Boys", which visually riffs off 'the Cap Trio' so strongly the first time I saw it, I thought "have they got Falcon and Winter Soldier out already?"

I didn't quite spot the BW expy in there, although there's an expy!Cap-standing-really-close-to-a-woman-in-black scene so...probably?

Also: Karl Urban is working the scruffy SebStan look like it's going out of style.

I am ridiculously excited for Stumptown. RIDICULOUSLY.

I just want to get into something that I can be excited about with other people again.

I know, that presumes that there's anyone excited about this other than me which is a distinct possibility. BUT. I'm hoping. I'm always hoping.

The Boys just strikes me as a less subtle version of Watchmen, which is the last thing I need in my life.

Yeah, it's not encouraging me to watch it. "Guys are assholes, and guys with superpowers are superpowered assholes!"
