Challenge #6

In your own space, make a list of things that you wish existed in fandom, or that you'd like someone to make for you.

I've actually had a few people make things for me from this, so I'm putting this out there again.

It's fairly single-minded, but this is me, after all.

1. An epic action-adventure packed Steve Rogers/Maria Hill fic, where they come together, fall in love, have to defeat an enemy, and live happily for now. It would be freaking amazing if it circumvents Infinity War and/or Endgame.

(I just did some calculations, and it turns out that I've either written or influenced 20% of the Maria/Steve stories on AO3.)

2. More MCU fics about Maria/Steve. Ones that are about them actively being together, working out each other in and through their lives, romancing while being on the run, stealing kisses in between sneaking around, negotiating sex, etc.

(I mean, I like the 'they smile at each other and it's a cute moment' but I kind of want the resolved sexual tension of them actually being together and dealing with that.)

3. Maria/Steve art. I got the most amazing Maria Hill drawing from oswulf in the Art Nouveau style a couple of years ago. I can't find the link anymore! But if anyone was willing to draw or do graphics of Maria and Steve standing close and smiling at each other, that would be amazing.

4. Cover art/podfics for any of my AO3 fics. It's fantastic to hear people's takes on my stories! Of particular interest is the series I've just finished - the Fire And Ice series about Pepper and Maria becoming friends, discovering their Drift compatible and learning to drive a Jaeger.'

5. Merlin BBC: Gwen/Arthur fic. This one is a bit difficult because I left the show around the end of S3 just as the Round Table formed and didn't see any of the following 2 seasons (although I heard it all went downhill). But I'd love to read a story where it went well - where Camelot triumphed: Merlin is revealed and achieves his destiny, Arthur unites Albion, Morgana is redeemed, and Gwen becomes the heart of the kingdom. I'm okay with recs for this but the story needs to be Arthur/Gwen and should involve Gwen a significant amount: ideally, the narrative of the story would be moved along by all four of them in equal amounts. And that's usually the sticking point.

6. Would someone write me a ficlet about Maria as I've depicted her in A Queen For Marvel Territory? Can be around/including any other characters in the MCU, but I'd really like to see a ficlet from that universe that involves Maria.

7. I'd actually really love a viewing buddy to watch Stumptown with. I have a couple of friends who are doing the "they'll watch it if I'll watch it" (*snugs them*) but they're in very different time zones and very busy. I'm thinking I'll need someone to set a time with, sit down, and watch, complete with chat comments, because that's the only way I'm going to get through it.

It's not that I don't like the show, it's just that I have SUCH TROUBLE sitting still and watching my way through a show if I don't have something to anchor me there. Someone else will do it nicely.

8. Stargate Atlantis fic centered around Teyla, with a John/Teyla and Teyla & Team/Atlantis angle. There was never enough fic around Teyla that depicted her as a fluid part of Atlantis - it was all early days "she doesn't know how to use anything" fic that tended to highlight her foreignness, while I was interested in the fact that she just slipped into Atlantis life and made it work for her. I wanted the friendships that she developed and how she might have worked them out - not just the happy clappy 'friends forever' part but the difficulty of working through cultural differences but valuaing people anyway. I just wants it, my preciouss.

9. Recs of my fic. If there's any of my stories that you like enough, I'd love your rec of it, including hearing what you liked about it.

10. Beta readers for some original things that I've written. Right now, the list sits at 5K spicy romance, one UF novel length, one PNR novel length - all M/F romance with resilient heroines and HFN/HEA. They're all works in progress, and while I have friends who are reading them through for me, I'd like someone who doesn't know me and my writing to have a run at it.

That's 10. If I think of more, I'll come back and adjust this.
