This is actually really difficult. And I'm having A Morning.
Forthwith: Leia and Rey for
alexseanchai.
Leia
Why I like her: She's tough and resilient, capable and flexible for the situation, whether it's breaking out of imprisonment, commanding people in a tight spot, or comforting someone struggling with their life's decisions, she's there doing the job.
Favorite movie: So many options here. I love that she became a General in the New Republic, got over her son's betrayal, her husband's departure, her brother's disappearance, but I think my favourite is still Return of the Jedi, when she's a leader, a team member, a sister, and a lover. All at once, and successfully. (No, the story isn't about her, but if it was...if it was...)
Favorite line: "Will someone get this walking carpet out of my way?" I know, it's not your typical Leia line, but it speaks to the humour and the authority of her. And probably the frustration she experienced as such a young Senator (and female and pretty) in a Senate likely largely formed of old men (or alien analogues for old men).
Favorite outfit: This is really weird. I like her suit on Hoth. It looks warm. I hate the cold and always have to rug up, so something that kept me warm(ish) without turning me into a giant marshmallow would be AMAZING.
OTP: Leia/Han (always)
BroTP: Luke/Leia (obvs)
Headcanon: Leia was told she was adopted when she was a teenager but not who her parents were. At some point, Sabe came to Alderaan as a guest of Bail after Breha had died and told Leia stories of her mother without saying which mother. Some of those stories 'became' Leia's memories of her mother, though.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think I have any.
A wish: I always wanted to read a story where Luke turned to the dark side at Endor and Leia had to bring him back. A couple of years ago,
rainsleetsnow wrote me Her Brother's Keeper for
fandom_stocking and it ROCKS MY WORLD. Otherwise, in the sequels I would have liked Leia to be more involved in the redemption of her son.
An oh-god-please-don't-ever-happen: Resurrection?
5 words to best describe her: Resilient, commanding, blunt, droll, competent.
Rey
Why I like them: That sense of excitement and discovery to her, particularly in TFA.
Why I don’t: I struggled with the stubbornness, actually.
Favorite season/movie/book: I actually quite liked The Last Jedi (Episode 8) for Rey - that 'in between' space where she was no longer the girl from Jakku but neither either of the 'Dark Empress' that was her destiny in the Dark Side nor the Jedi Leader that was her 'path' in the Light Side. (And then at the end of Rise of Skywalker, she ends up taking the Crazy Ben Kenobi route instead.)
Favorite line: "I never dreamed there could be so much green in the world."
Favorite outfit: Probably the desert robes she wore on Jakku. I suspect the imagery - small, white, echoes of Luke on Tattooine - was deliberate, but I liked it for the simplicity.
OTP: Rey/Finn.
BroTP: Rey & Poe.
Headcanon: There's all kinds of gossip about her being 'Rey Skywalker' and whether she really is related to the Larses or their nephew who went and became a rebellion hero. She won't talk about it, and evades when the local children ask. Finn comes and finds her on Tattooine and they regularly go off and have adventures. She teases him about being a great hero in the Rebellion/Republic, and he pokes her about being a crazy old Jedi hermit, and sometimes they lie curled up together in bed just listening to each other's heartbeat and the heartbeat of the universe.
Unpopular opinion: I didn't mind Rey/Kylo UST in the movies (but I wanted her to go for Finn in the end as the better man).
A wish: I like the idea of Rey having children and a partner in the end, of having children who can grow up with the Force but not using it.
An oh-god-please-don't-ever-happen: I was very NO REYLO after TLJ. I'm actually quite glad they went where they did in RoS. There was attraction and interest but she ultimately rejected Kylo Ren (even if she could maybe have come to love Ben...or, given his past, maybe not; I don't know and I don't care to find out from fanfic). I was pretty satisfied with the story ending in terms of relationships and where people were at. But yeah, pretty much, NO REYLO.
5 words to best describe her: Curious, stubborn, determined, young, tenacious.
Sorry, it's going to go slowly because of life and stuff.

I have "Will someone get this walking carpet out of my way" as an icon over on LJ, actually - I use it when I'm feeling rather cross. :D
My favorite Rey line is probably, "The garbage it is!" when the ship they planned to take is blown up and they have to fly the garbage ship - the Falcon.

I haven't seen the sequel trilogy more than once each - except maybe TFA, which I saw twice, so my memory of her lines is a little vague.
