So here I am in Darwin with not as much to do as I hoped.

Turns out a lot of the tours I'm interested in (flights, chopper rides, sunset cruises) are not available for just one person, or not doable for a single day.

And the one that was available? Is not available until Thursday, which is the day I leave. *sigh*

I am starting to appreciate my mother's "research everything, book everything in to the nth degree" attitude towards holidays, I just kind of figured I'd be spending more time with the cousin and his family. But they're a bit lassez-faire to plans which means I don't know which evening I'm spending with them and which day I can have free.

I'd actually like to sit somewhere with a view and a power point and food and write. But that's more suited to a Melbourne cafe than a Darwin holiday...

I am reasonably content to just sit here in my waterfront apartment and stare at the view, but I was hoping to do some more adventurous things...

But I have pinned down my cousin and his family for dinner.
