I'm not sure I actually slept last night. I put a 'Sleep' spotify playlist on and it ended up playing all night. I woke to it at 5am. (Which is slightly better than 4am.) But I don't feel like I actually slept in the end.

Just watching things get worse in the US. The deeper they go the more horrific the plots become. And the legislative branch isn't going to do a thing, because a spine isn't something that conservative politicians appear to have.

The country is hemhorraging democracy as the world watches.

And the Australian PM is cheering it on. Won't condemn the coup attempt, won't restrain his deputies and ministers who are all OHNOES WE GONNA LOSE OUR PLATFORM - they're the Australian politicians on FB with the most interaction: one way they spread their lies about. It's all the white supremacist types - the ones who hobnob with them, the ones who say awful things and then 'don't really mean it'.

And of course it's now past 11pm and I haven't gotten ready for bed yet.

I linked Russell Moore's essay on Facebook. I have friends and family who are far too close to the conspira-kook side of things, so I hope a religious voice talking sense will have impact.

I am REALLY disappointed to hear about the non-reaction from the Australian PM. I didn't realize you guys had such an awful leader, as well. Ugh.
