Hockey teams announced: Team 2 (C-grade) this year on the field, while I'm goalie for Team 3. A few people went up to Team 1 (A-Grade), and we're going to miss at least one person in the midfield, but she'll do well in Team 1, too.

I'm happy with it. The coach from the last couple of years is not coaching this year (he was told his services would not be required, in fact, and this produced Friction, as such situations do) so it should be a much more...encouraging year.

Catsitting a couple of boy kitties next door. They are cute and voracious and adorable and stinky. SO STINKY.

Finally, thank you to the people who wished me a happy birthday. It...uh...was not actually my birthday on the weekend. However, I was feeling despondent thinking about all the Things I Haven't Done Yet as I head for my 45th birthday, so your reminders/well-wishes were appreciated, if not necessarily correct in timing! And I apologise for giving the wrong impression. Also, many thanks to the friend who contacted me off-journal to remind me that Life Is Not About Ticking The Boxes. I do need that kick in the pants from time to time.

Gah about work, but sounds like hockey is looking up this season! It hasn't sounded very fun for the last couple of years.
