Although ANZAC Day isn't a public holiday in NSW (apparently it's a unique holiday that, if it falls on a Sunday, doesn't get the public holiday shifted to the Monday), it is in the ACT, so work told us all to take the day off.
So I did.
Did my Monday Couch-to-5K, did a spot of gardening/trimming/cleaning up, wrote about 1.4K and nearly got to the end of the second scene in this book (I write really slowly), and then did some cooking/kitchen things in the afternoon until I had to make a decision about dinner.
I ended up roasting brussel sprouts and eating those with some shitake mushrooms that had been boiled with the chashu pork for Mum's birthday ramen. They were gooooood.
Tomorrow is work again, plus hockey training. I'll have half a hot cross bun and an egg for brekky, something purchased for lunch (I wanted a burger but the burger joint I would have gone to is closed Monday and Tuesday), and the brussel sprouts for dinner after hockey training.
Smokey is healing from the blocked anal gland, but is also still in the cone of shame because she can't be trusted not to lick the site raw. She doesn't like it and neither do we.
The baby chook girls have started flying up into the trees to roost at night, so they're no longer allowed in that pen at roosting time. However, we're trying to get them used to roosting with the other girls.
Driving down to Canberra on Wednesday to do some login token fixing. Coming back on Thursday because B1 will be catsitting for the parentals while they go away...
Still feeling generally exhausted and under the weather.
