I feel bad about signing up with Yesterday's Fandoms.

I mean, nobody's in those fandoms anymore and nobody wants to write them. And the people who do want to write them usually have very specific tastes and none of them are mine. So, really, I'm just putting someone in an untenable position, aren't I?

Uh, if they don't want to write it, they're not going to offer it! I haven't been really fannish about SG-1 in almost a decade, and yet I offered it for Rare Pairs because I was in the mood for it and there were interesting pairings nominated. You're not imposing on someone by asking for a fic in a fandom exchange! Even if the fandom is old or rare and your take on things is off-kilter from the rest of fandom. Unless you're hedging people in with excessive DNWs to force them to write your specific plot bunny, you're not imposing on anybody any more than they are imposing on you for asking you to write for them.
