happy (?) birthday

I was hoping to spend this week in Canberra for work, this weekend with my stepbro and stepSIL, the week with friends up in the mid-north coast, and come home for my birthday, a hockey trivia night, and a weekend of partying with friends.

Yeah, nope.

Instead, my plans are:

1. black forest cake (home-made)


2. takeaway of some kind (lunch is probably best, but likely to have to be dinner)


3. taking the day off (mostly: there's a work thingy that needs to be done at 2pm, but it should be easy)


4. video chat from whenever I wake up until whenever I have to get off: link to be posted the night before (my time), feel free to come and say hi with or without video. And then probably evening video chat - I'll post that link up a little earlier, because otherwise the people I expect to join can't work it into their day.

Oh I am so sorry. I've had two pandemic birthdays under various states of lockdown, and it is not ideal.

Birthdays during lockdown are no fun. I hope that you do get lots of greetings and good wishes at least!
