IDK, I've been fighting this chest infection for at least a year now. Apparently the strain is resistant to penicillin, so I had to take ceflex instead. Which made it better while I was taking the antibiotics, but it's starting to feel heavy and congested again.
It's not COVID. I've had a bajillion tests and they all come back negative. So tired.
I mean, I'm tired anyway. Should really just go to bed.

Work has been quiiiiet apart from the occasional:
co-worker: "oh, you should have done this thing yesterday"
me: whut
co-worker: "I didn't actually say it was your job, I just more or less implied it"
me: WHUT
But there's an exciting go-live on Tuesday. Of the 'oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die' kind. On the plus side, I finished up the testing this afternoon, in so far as we can do testing for this, because the system that we are sending things to only has a production environment. No test or development environment. I have no idea how they deal with it when they need upgrades or modifications.

Sydney has experienced a jump in COVID case numbers - we skipped the 500s and went straight for the 600s. 4 people have died in the last 24 hours. So we're in lockdown for sure for another month, and now the premier is bringing out the heavy lockdown laws...but only for the 'areas of concern' which are mostly over the bridge.
There may/may not be another protest this weekend. One of the chief organisers of this sort of thing turned up in Sydney from Queensland last week, and he's residential in Victoria. Basically, he's not supposed to be travelling anywhere, and the cops have had an eye on him for some time. They ended up taking him down at the local train interchange and he's gotten 8 months in prison. Hopefully he'll catch COVID while he's there and be one of the ones who die from it.
I really don't know why people think I'm a nice person.
Oh, in case you haven't guessed: apparently it's a lot of young guys doing the rule breaking this time. Probably a large number of them are white, and if they're not, they're of the kind of background where "men are men" and all that toxic shite.

This weekend is a lot of gardening/planting:
- lilies
- ranunculus
- ginger/turmeric/galangal
- repot black sapote
- move composting frame to banana circle
Also quilting:
- finish the stepbrother's quilt binding
- get more squares up on the design board for the kitchen curtains
I would like to just lie in bed and read a novel; I don't do that very well, though.
