another too-rough massage

Ow ow ow ow ow ow.

I don't want relaxing, but I do want deep-tissue. I want the kind of massage that I can fall into a zone with, not be bracing for every pummel and knead. And this was the kind of massage that leaves me feeling bruised and sore for a couple of days.

I really need to check this before I book with anyone new next time. Did I say that last time, too?

Not fun. I've learned to tell the massage therapist exactly that, or else they try to unkink years of tension locked into my upper back and neck, and it doesn't work. "If I walk out of here feeling looser than when i started, you're fine, and I don't want to need an ice pack tomorrow."

I find it very hard to find a good massage therapist. My last one moved to Tennessee and I'm not looking for another right now. I really miss her. She knew just what I needed.

I absolutely agree with you. I want to feel it, but I also don't need to feel like I just stepped out of the ring the next day.
