Remix is explicitly for the remixer, not the original author; that's why, while you can have "safe" stories that can't be remixed, you can't have DNWs or requests in your optional details. They got their shot at writing the story, now it's your turn. You can't change pairings, and it would be a dick move to bash their story/characters, but other than that ... it's all about you, baby.
