I spent the morning at the Northside markets with a friend. It was fun. I restrained myself from purchasing all the food in sight (the market is full of delicious amazingness) but I did come back with quite a few bits and pieces.
That said, by the time I got back, I was zonked. As usually happens when I start early, I go through to midday and then kind of lose the plot of everything.
Might make some mac and cheese, and some green beans, eat them with the roast chook the sister brought home yesterday for dinner. And then contemplate writing.
I did finally work out that my protag needs to find her 'family' in this first book, so that when she has to start to come to terms with what she is in the second and third books she's got backup.

Do afternoon naps work for you? I find that a 20-30 minute nap (or even just a lie-down) is a pretty good way to reboot after a full morning.
