It's been Quite A Lot this week.
I have the weekend off, now I have to spend it doing something other than doomscrolling or shouting at clouds (a.k.a. FB and possibly church people).
But some links about what's happening in Australia, and how to move forward.

we can't cling to the perfect past, we have to wake up and walk through the future imperfect
Overwhelmed? Treat yourself the way you would treat a friend
So tired right now. So very very tired.

I hope that this weekend gives you some time to rest and relax and that you'll feel better by Monday.

*sigh*
It's a lot.

I've been watching the news of the floods and I'm relieved that you and your friends are okay. I just feel for people suffering the loss of their homes.
Stay well!

Yes, it's going to be so hard on the people who've lost homes - hundreds of thousands of them, easily, if not millions. Everything lost, and right now with building supplies limited... It's going to create an entirely new class of people: those who got taken down by natural disaster and don't have the funds to get back up again.
And then there's our government claiming they can't help out every time a disaster happens. But they're more than happy to let developers sell properties on floodplains (with appropriate payouts) and bail out billionaires (they do that over here, too) and so on...just not for the average punter.
It's terrifying and saddening and frustrating, all at once.
