Trying to shift my flight from London to Boston back by a day. At first I thought it would be free under the terms of the Round-the-world ticket I bought.
I called the company that manages the round-the-world ticket for the airline alliance that does this thing, got a customer service rep, and after 26 minutes - 6 of it explaining what I wanted, 20 of it on hold - the call cut out. I called back, and got a customer service rep, and after again explaining what I wanted, he put me on hold. Then came back at 20 minutes intervals to let me know that he was still on the issue but the system was being incredibly slow.
Over an hour later, I'm still waiting on hold. Then the guy comes back and has the ticketing change, but needs to calculate the cost change. More on-hold. Cost change comes back - more than I wanted, but eh. I need the ticketing change.
Two days later, I'm still waiting on the email that tells me my ticket has changed, although when I log in and look at the schedule, it appears to have changed, so that's something.

In other news, I spent ridiculous amounts of time on the phone trying to sort out an issue with my credit card. First I could do it online, then I needed to verify in person at a branch, then I still needed to do it online, and AUUUUUUGH.
I don't loathe phone calls the way some people do, but I hate on-hold music. Why isn't there an option for 'on hold': classical, pop, news, whatever? Why do I have to listen to tinny sounds over and over again on repeat, and that inane message on every on-hold line about "your call is important to us"?

I'll be arriving in Boston on the 23rd, the plan is to stay overnight in the city, wander around a little in the morning of the 24th, and hopefully get a flight to Ottawa in the evening, where I'll probably be remaining until at least the 27th. The plan is to go down to Toronto and see Niagara Falls, then fly out to San Francisco on the 28th at around midday, arriving around 4pm.
I leave SF around 8pm on the 29th, arriving Monday morning bright and early in Sydney. There may need to be a bit of fast talking to my boss about my arrival time. Heh.

I have almost finished Installment #29 of Meeting Halfway.
I posted another Black Jewels fusion - this time for Bridgerton. It's not very popular, most likely because it's not Kate/Anthony (yet).
I'm in one of the in-between bits for my Nullifae novel, before a fairly major loss for the protag - her bestie is included on a mission to Faery and is left behind by the mission team.

I also hate when you're on hold with music and then there's a voice, which makes you think you've got a live human, but no, it's a recording,
and then more music, more recorded voice, more music, more recorded voice...
