Mal ate a cooked chicken wing bone on Monday night. It's been an up and down 36 hours.
Right now, she's at the vet getting an x-ray, some bloodwork, and some fluids into her. And if the x-ray shows that she did eat the bone and it's lodged in her digestive system, it could get expensive...
*sigh*
Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
EDIT: just got the call from the vet. She found the bone - looks like it's been chewed pretty thoroughly into small pieces and should pass through with only a little discomfort. Still, in the meantime it's irritating Mal's digestive tract. She's getting fluids into her, and will probably get soft food for a while yet (Smokey is going to be UNHAPPY that Mal gets the nice food).
If all goes well, she won't cost any more than she already has. Which is still quite a bit.
NO MORE BONES, MAL! NO!

With dogs it usually turns into a nightmare, because they tend to swallow things without much chewing.
