It's very bad this month. Lots of bleeding, lots of exhaustion, we nearly hit freezing last night, and I'm not really managing to keep up.

And I have a permaculture management meeting tonight. To which three people have already said they can't make it.

Have you seen anyone about how heavy your bleeding is? The reason I ask is I had that problem in my late 40s and it turned out to be fibroids in my uterus.

I just hate to see you so miserable every month!

Yeah, it's uterine fibroids. Pretty bad, and they've given me medication to deal with the blood gush, but I'm not always assiduous about taking it, and all it does is clot the blood more rather than slow/spread it out.

They're slow to suggest surgery if it's not dire, which I understand. But sometimes I think it would be nice to be magically uterusless!

Honestly, if you don't mind losing your uterus, I'd start pushing them. It was the most amazing thing to me to NOT be in pain and have to deal with all the bleeding every month. I'm very happy I did it.
