I'm going to post a few old, unfinished stories from Stargate Atlantis and maybe even SG1 days. There might be a Merlin fic in there, possibly a Harry Potter story or two.

I wrote so many words in fanfic, thousands of which have never seen the light of day. Ideas that came but which I couldn't finish, stories that I got halfway through and lost interest. IDK. That seems to be the story of my writing history: can't seem to finish the novel.

Still trying to finish the last of the 30 Days. Maria and not!Natasha are having a conversation at Vormir. I'm still not entirely clear what's going to happen, although I know what I want to have happen, but I've known what I wanted to have happen for a fortnight now, and it still hasn't, so I have the feeling that the key pieces are still to land in place.

I finished my everywoman fic, but I think it needs polishing. Or I could write another one, same characters, different vein.

Also, a month and change after intoabar was due, I finally have a germ of an idea for my characters. Phew.

Mostly, I think, I'm hoping that the current fanfic writing will buoy me up to writing the last 4/5ths of the novel. And then there's the editing and rewriting. Not looking forward to that.

fandomgiftbasket is usually pretty good at making sure everyone gets something, so keep the faith!

I had to stop signing up for things because my fandoms were basically D.O.A, LOL, but you've got some good ones in your basket.

Alas, for I have live fandoms but dead pairings...

But, oh, for those of us whose fandoms are long since dust and ashes!

Yikes, that's not a winning combination - but still better than dead fandoms and dead pairings? (I'm keeping the faith alive on your behalf! *sends creative vibes to someone out there, somewhere*

It's the worst. On the flip side, it's saved me a lot of time in the past year. If no one can write for me, I don't have to write for anyone else. #4dchess

Thing is, I want to write for people who like my pairings! I want to find other authors who love the same pairings as me!

But they're few and far between, alas...

Good luck with your writing projects, and fingers crossed that you end up getting something awesome at fandomgiftbasket! :) (I signed up this year too, after probably a decade of avoiding this type of comms, because I finally figured out that I can just use my general likes as fandom-specific prompts. xD Having to come up with them was what always made me give up on even trying to sign up.)
