Hockey, this time, our game.
It just felt like we couldn't get anything right, the umpires called against us repeatedly, and the final score was 3-1.
It was an early game since our options were "8am Sunday at a nearby field or 6pm Sunday 45 minutes drive away". The 8am wasn't fun, but the game was less fun. Our opponents technically belong in the next grade up but won't go up. We have a few players who technically belong in the next grade down, but there is no lower grade for them and not enough teams.
It's made the 2nd half of the season not-fun.
But a few of us had brunch afterwards at a nearby cafe, sat and relaxed and talked until about midday.
Now it's 1:30pm and I'm kinda zonked. Tempting prospect to snooze on the couch with the cats. But there's washing to be done and I'm doing it.
