The 'no, we won't enshrine an indigenous advisory to parliament in our constitution' vote won. There are pockets of quiet grief around Australia amidst the smug satisfaction.
Ah well. That avenue failed. There are other avenues that are easier to take down once they're in place, but they're also harder to stop the conservatives from blocking.
Dear "Brother Potato", please be as awfully obnoxious a person going forward. But don't destroy our democracy while you're at it.

It took four years of utter fabricated nonsense being spewed from the orange buffoon's mouth, before news outlets here stopped just broadcasting his crap as if it were true, and actually started either *not* covering it at all (very rare) or at least fact checking it and announcing that what he said wasn't actually correct.
This bullshit of treating everything that comes out of peoples' mouths as something we have to consider and spend time refuting politely with facts needs to stop.
