Back still hurts. Not as badly as it did the first time, but still. Achey all day. Luckily I have a physio appointment this evening. Also luckily: no training this week.

Unluckily, will be sleeping the first half of next week on a strange bed. We will see if sleep things end up happening or not...

Been watching the Bridgerton fandom zoom past, there's an FB group I joined, and they're crazy active. Lemme tell you it feels weird to be doing fandom in real-time under my own name. Also, a little awkward.

The fandom feels really young, too. Like, 20s, maybe early 30s. I don't know if it's just that those are the people who post, but it's 99% women, it's all "I'm Team!Penelope" and "I'm Team!Eloise" and a lot of gushing and people who haven't read the books and...

WHEW.

Right now, my biggest fear is that Shondaland will do something really stupid with the plotlines, particularly as regards couples who are flagged as 'together', because I know that TV series drama relies on established relationship upheaval and I have too many years of show-writers and show-runners being all "but we can't get them together because of the Moonlighting proposition!" (Or whatever it was called; does anyone still call it that, four decades later?) And then getting couples together and just breaking them up for funsies. OHNOES.

*sigh*

I don't trust TV writers. I just don't.

Sometimes it's rough being An Old in fandom. I enjoy the enthusiasm, but watching The Kids recreating the same old drama can be a bit much.

I've been very "Do not cite the deep magic to me, Witch. I was there when it was written" for the past few years, y'know?

I would never join a fandom group on facebook with my real name. Just. no. YOu are braver than I!
