Two weeks later, putting up the photos.

The contrasts of Hong Kong: the very old-time markets, and the very new architecture.

I don't know what the 'black box' building is, but this is the Xiqu Centre For The Arts, and fairly new. It was a great place to sit down and rest a bit, even while I had COVID. Once I got out of the crowds of people, I could sit down and relax and take off my mask, because it was this giant, mostly-empty space with a spectacular view that was a relatively short walk from my hotel.

I no longer remember her name, but the belly was not a trap!

The others were varying degrees of friendly.

But mostly not.

There were five cats (one reason I took the room in the first place) and it was lovely to be around cats. The next time there will be cats will be when I reach Canada, both Toronto and Ottawa. And the host was sweet and lovely...even if she was five floors up with no elevator...
And for final: a street stray. A fairly independent puss who consented to be photographed, but not to be petted.

Getting from HK to Tbilisi via Istanbul was pretty stressful. I got off the plane at Istanbul with about 120 minutes to make my next flight and boarding started about 45 minutes after landing. But they only posted the gate as the boarding began. And the instructions at the airport weren't very helpful.
So I lingered too long at the wrong wing of the terminal while waiting for the transfer board to update with my next gate, and when I realised it was a different wing entirely and I would have to go out through security screening again...
It was not a comfortable transfer. Let's put it that way.
Not to mention I was stressed about travelling in confined spaces with many people after getting COVID, both not wanting to relapse, but also wary of any residual infectiousness I might have. I masked up, but there's nothing that quite alleviates the stress.

In the end, I didn't get a good look at Istanbul Airport, which was a big pity because it looked like they'd done it up since the last time I was there and I would have enjoyed exploring.

Yesterday was Amalfi - some lovely buildings and history, although most people were more interested in the shopping and photo ops. Today is a day out on the waters of the Amalfi coast.
